Architecture prize of the Province of Styria 2013
The architecture prize of the Province of Styria for promoting contemporary quality architecture in Styria is awarded every three years since the reorganization of the state culture awards in 2011. The last architecture prize was awarded in 2010 and the next award will take place in 2016. The prize is endowed with prize money of € 10,000. The awarding of the architecture prize of the province of Styria takes place after a public call. The implementation is entrusted to the HDA – House of Architecture in Graz. The prize is awarded to an object erected in Styria within the last 3 years.
As curator of the Architecture Prize of the Province of Styria 2013 Nathalie de Vries / Rotterdam, NL was chosen by the Styrian provincial government. Nathalie de Vries is co-founder and partner in the internationally renowned architecture firm MVRDV. In addition to her work as an architect, she was and is a member of numerous international juries, technical and design advisory boards, including those in Salzburg, as well as teacher at universities in the Netherlands, Germany and the USA.
