For the 22nd time, the Architecture Prize of the Province of Styria will be awarded in co-operation with the House of Architecture (HDA), which is endowed with prize money of € 10,000. The purpose of the prize foundation is to promote contemporary, high-quality architecture in Styria. The Styrian Architecture Prize is awarded following a public tender and the decision of a curator. The prize is awarded to a building erected in Styria within the last 2 years.
Curators 2025 The prize is awarded by decision of a curator. For the Architecture Prize of the Province of Styria 2025, the Styrian Provincial Government has appointed SO? architecture and ideas as curators.
SO? architecture and ideas was founded in 2007 by Sevince Bayrak and Oral Göktaş. Their work ranges from small-scale interventions to major public building projects. In addition to their architectural practice, the duo is also involved in teaching as well as curatorial and conceptual projects. They gained international attention in particular as curators of the Turkish national pavilion at the 2023 Architecture Biennale in Venice.

Zum 22. Mal wird der Architekturpreis des Landes Steiermark ausgeschrieben, welcher mit einem Preisgeld von € 10.000,- dotiert ist. Das Ziel der Preisstiftung ist die Förderung und Anerkennung herausragender zeitgenössischer Leistungen auf dem Gebiet der Architektur in der Steiermark. Die Auszeichnung wird für Objekte verliehen, die sich in der Steiermark befinden und deren Fertigstellung zwischen dem 1. Jänner 2023 und dem 1. Februar 2025 liegt. Als Kurator:innen-Team für den Architekturpreis des Landes Steiermark 2025 wurde von der Steiermärkischen Landesregierung SO? Architecture and Ideas bestellt.
The new HDA format world_wide_wisdom invites international architects and thinkers to give keynote speeches and talks to accompany the exhibitions. As part of the exhibition BHP'24 on the road, the Istanbul-based architecture firm SO? architecture and ideas, curators of the Architecture Prize of the Province of Styria 2025, will provide insights into their positions and working methods.
